Six A.M. on a Monday morning
Welcoming a new week.
If there's a higher power out there,
What're they trying to tell me?
Cherish what you've got, while you've got it
There's no such thing as safety.
It'll all be taken away,
Everything is temporary.
This building's burning at a rate that's concerning
Everything in my life is twisting and turning.
As the smoke fills my lungs, I am yearning
To learn and reflect on this constant journey.
Everything's hitting all at once,
It's like the walls are caving in.
Even though the floor is dry,
The flood water's settling.
It's not supposed to rain inside,
But I guess this is my life.
Cleaning up another mess,
Just to save all that I have left.
Finally open my eyes and although it comes as no surprise
There's a lot that I need to fix
As long as I can just focus.
